This last Sunday was my mom’s birthday. My friends Atelier, one of the most prestigious restaurants in Havana, invite us to lunch, a gift to my mother.

Michel, the chef, prepared a luxurious lunch. We’ve known each other for some time before and I have always admired and tasted his culinary style. In Atelier he is free to create the menu. Niurys, the owner have a very entrepreneurial spirit and great vision, Atelier is not just a restaurant, it is a creative workshop where Niurys cradles and supports good food enthusiasts.

Lunch was splendid. Michel improvised in the kitchen and the result was delicious. Dario my son, my girlfriend Frida, Pilar my mother and I spent a first class Sunday pampered by family and friends.

Ayer domingo fue el cumpleaños de mi mamá. Mis amigos de Atelier, uno de los más prestigiosos restaurantes de La Habana, me ofrecieron un almuerzo como regalo a mi madre.

Michel el chef se lució preparando el almuerzo. Nos conocemos desde hace algún tiempo y siempre he admirado, y degustado, su estilo culinario. En Atelier tiene rienda suelta para crear el menú. Niurys, la dueña, es una emprendedora con mucho espíritu y mucha visión de futuro. Atelier no es solo un restaurante, es un taller creativo donde Niurys acuna y apoya a entusiastas del buen comer.

El almuerzo fue de lujo. Michel improvisó en la cocina y el resultado fue delicioso. Darío mi hijo, Frida mi novia, Pilar mi madre y yo, pasamos un domingo de primera clase en familia y mimados por los amigos.
